2nd Edition

What happens when excess becomes illegal?

Kyle Kade never set out to become a billionaire.

A gifted young inventor, he creates a neural implant in college that could transform medicine, communication, and the future of human connection. With his best friend beside him, Kyle takes the invention to market — and watches it become bigger, faster, and more valuable than he ever imagined.

Then the law catches up.

Under the newly passed Billionaire CAP Law, no individual may possess wealth beyond the legal limit. To supporters, it is justice at last. To the powerful, it is a weapon. And to those circling Kyle’s company, it is the perfect opportunity.

Behind the scenes, investors, regulators, and corporate predators begin pushing Kyle toward the forbidden threshold — not to punish him for greed, but to remove him from his own creation.

As the numbers climb and the traps close in, Kyle must fight to keep control of the technology he built before the system that claims to protect the public turns him into its first casualty.

Intrigue, invention, and political consequence collide in this near-future thriller about ambition, ownership, and the dangerous question of who gets to decide when success has gone too far.

This storyline intrigued me and scared me. Yes, it made me think. I had only read her romantic fiction and now I know she writes political thrillers well too. Her cadence and character development is good. I enjoyed the book and she's becoming one of my favorite authors.
